This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee daily accounting functions, encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. accounting standards and Mexican tax laws.
• Execute account reconciliations and verify data accuracy.
• Process journal entries and accruals efficiently.
• Complete activities related to month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow.
• Facilitate financial audits and uphold compliance with internal controls.
• Work collaboratively with external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Identify enhancements in accounting processes through automation and technology.
• Support cross-border financial operations between the United States and Mexico.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, specifically supporting U.S. and/or Mexican operations.
• Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Mexican tax laws, including SAT, CFDI, IVA, ISR, payroll tax compliance, and electronic accounting.
• Experience with general ledger, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Practical experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Skilled in performing bank reconciliations and generating financial statements.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards (preferred).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
• Experience in supporting audits, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficient in English (B2+ level preferred).
• Ability to work independently in a remote, diverse environment.
• Familiarity with accounting technologies or systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify, or Power BI (Power BI preferred).
• Experience in sectors such as Insurance, Finance, Professional Services, Real Estate, Healthcare, or Technology is advantageous.
• CPA, IFRS, or other accounting certifications are considered additional qualifications.
