Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute moderately complex professional accounting tasks related to the recording and reporting of financial transactions.

• Ensure the timely and precise posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for each entity.

• Prepare work papers, financial statements, and reports aimed at internal accounting and auditing.

• Conduct research and analysis on variances between current financial results and those of prior years, previous months, and budgeted figures.

• Collaborate with independent and inter-company auditors to guarantee compliance with financial reporting standards.

• Generate and distribute quarterly and annual statements, including the transition from GAAP accounting to statutory accounting.

• Propose modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

• Assist business partners with budget-related activities, expenditure coding, document preparation, and other accounting functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting setting.

• At least 2 years of utilizing accounting and auditing principles and practices, including GAAP and statutory accounting.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in spreadsheet software applications.

• Clean credit history as evidenced by a credit report.

• Capability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

• For remote positions, a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.

• Must adhere to pre-employment substance abuse testing.
