Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Perform monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with US GAAP.

• Assist in quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits.

• Ensure documentation is audit-ready.

• Conduct internal control testing in line with SOX 404 requirements.

• Organize documentation and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits.

• Aid in month-end close processes for a US-headquartered, NASDAQ-listed public company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Familiarity with US GAAP is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge base in US GAAP principles.

• Basic understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls framework.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Fluent in professional English, both written and spoken.

• Availability to work aligned with US Central time zones.

• Proven experience utilizing Claude or similar large language model tools is essential.

• Exceptional analytical, operational, organizational, technical, managerial, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Strong ability to collaborate within a team setting.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
