Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Perform monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with US GAAP.

• Lead month-end closing processes.

• Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits and reviews.

• Ensure documentation is ready for audits.

• Conduct internal control testing following SOX 404 requirements.

• Keep organized records and supporting schedules for financial reviews and audits.

• Utilize AI tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Familiarity with US GAAP is essential.

• A strong understanding of US GAAP and some exposure to SOX compliance/internal controls framework.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Fluent in professional English, both written and spoken.

• Availability to work in alignment with US Central time zones.

• Proven experience with Claude or similar large language model tools.

• Strong analytical, operational, organizational, technical, management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Exceptional communication skills.
