Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with US GAAP.

• Oversee month-end close timelines.

• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits.

• Ensure documentation is prepared for audit readiness.

• Conduct internal control testing to comply with SOX 404 standards.

• Keep organized records and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits.

• Support accounting operations for a US-based, NASDAQ-listed public company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Familiarity with US GAAP is essential.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles.

• Basic knowledge of SOX compliance and the internal controls framework.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Fluent in professional English, both written and spoken.

• Ability to work in alignment with US Central time zones.

• Proven experience utilizing Claude or similar large language model tools is necessary.

• Comfortable using AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• Experience with public company operations or US-based subsidiaries is an asset.

• Strong analytical, operational, organizational, technical, management, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
