Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Enter transactions in SAP.

• Finalize and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Bank, and Intercompany sub-ledgers.

• Document and reconcile payroll for multiple countries.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and aid in the preparation of variance analyses.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements for the portfolio, including VAT returns, statutory financial documents, Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns, and other necessary filings.

• Perform analysis and contribute to various projects as needed.

• Provide assistance in statutory closing and financial statement preparation.

• Report directly to the Manager of Accounting and Controls as a member of the Accounting team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-qualification experience in accounting.

• Must be available to work in the EMEA timezone.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience using core financial systems; familiarity with SAP or similar systems is advantageous.

• Understanding of GAAP principles and compliance requirements.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Financial analysis capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Effective time management skills and ability to meet ongoing deadlines.

• Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Strong skills in automation and fluency with AI technologies.
