Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Enter transactions into SAP.

• Finalize and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank, and intercompany sub-ledgers.

• Document and reconcile payroll for multiple countries.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and aid in the preparation of variance analyses.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory obligations, which include VAT returns, statutory financial documents, corporate income tax returns, and other necessary filings.

• Carry out analyses and contribute to additional projects as required.

• Aid in statutory closing and the preparation of financial statements.

• Report directly to the Manager of Accounting and Controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-qualification experience in accounting.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience with essential finance systems; familiarity with SAP or similar software is an advantage.

• Understanding of GAAP principles.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Competence in financial analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Effective time management skills with the capability to meet ongoing deadlines.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Strong skills in automation and AI, with fluency in AI concepts.
