This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Lead and manage the RFP response processes from a sales perspective, collaborating with Account Executives, bid defense teams, subject matter experts, and operational teams.
• Formulate effective proposal strategies to ensure submissions are high-quality, competitive, and delivered on time.
• Supervise proposal development workflows, timelines, and conduct internal reviews.
• Evaluate win/loss data to enhance proposal strategies and methodologies.
• Create and sustain customer maps that identify stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
• Investigate and document customer organizational structures, priorities, and strategic initiatives.
• Establish and maintain customer profiles along with relationship histories.
• Design and execute break-in strategies for new departments or therapeutic areas within existing accounts.
• Assist account-specific business development plans and assess the effectiveness of break-in strategies.
• Navigate contracts through internal approval processes involving legal, finance, and operational teams.
• Serve as a liaison between Account Executives and internal departments to ensure effective communication and process coordination.
• Conduct prospecting activities to identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Organize strategic customer meetings and prepare relevant briefing materials.
• Facilitate follow-up activities after customer engagements.
• Propel account growth and commercial success through strategic thinking and problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in Life Sciences, with a proven record in proposal development and business development.
• Strong comprehension of clinical research processes and CRO services.
• Proficiency with customer relationship management systems and proposal management tools.
• Awareness of pharmaceutical industry trends, challenges, and the regulatory environment.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation and business terms within the CRO sector.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding project management and organizational skills, along with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills coupled with a strategic thinking mindset.
• Experience in commercial strategy, business development, or a regulated setting.
• Capability to collaborate across teams and work efficiently with various internal departments.
• Comfort with CRM systems, proposal management tools, and other business applications.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends, challenges, and the clinical research landscape.
