This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Act as the representative of Tavneos to physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Create product demand and provide thorough account management within a specified territory.
• Inform medical professionals and external stakeholders about disease-state awareness and product details.
• Enhance product use and cater to the specific needs of each account.
• Develop and sustain relationships with healthcare providers and stakeholders throughout the patient care continuum.
• Navigate through private practices, academic institutions, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), community hospitals, and specialty clinics.
• Formulate and implement territory business plans to meet sales targets.
• Advocate for Tavneos in alignment with approved labeling and compliance standards.
• Tackle patient access, reimbursement, and pull-through issues alongside cross-functional teams.
• Organize matrix teams to provide account-specific solutions.
• Build referral networks and establish site-of-care pathways.
• Cultivate relationships with local and regional key opinion leaders (KOLs).
• Supply field insights and market intelligence to partners and leadership.
• Utilize approved resources, peer education programs, and digital engagement channels.
• Oversee promotional materials and the budget for the assigned territory.
• Represent Amgen at medical congresses, society meetings, and educational events.
• Fulfill training and administrative duties while adhering to company policies.
• Account Manager: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical devices, or in hospital sales; OR an Associate degree with 6 years of relevant sales experience; OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of applicable sales experience.
• Specialty Account Manager: Doctorate degree with 2 years of combined account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR a Master's degree with 6 years; OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years; OR an Associate degree with 10 years.
• Preferably possess sales experience in Rheumatology and Nephrology, and/or rare or specialty disease states.
• Specialty pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
• Experience collaborating with institutions and healthcare providers, as well as cross-functional teams.
• Strong scientific and clinical understanding, with the capability to comprehend complex disease states.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and communicate it effectively in scientific discussions.
• Strategic planning and execution for territory management.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30%, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Maintain a professional and proactive demeanor.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal abilities.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
