This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Serve as a representative of Amgen products to healthcare professionals and physicians.
• Drive product sales and manage the entire territory effectively.
• Offer disease-related information and education to medical professionals and external stakeholders involved in patient care.
• Meet assigned sales targets through patient-focused disease and product education.
• Implement strategic account business plans that align with marketing objectives.
• Collaborate within a matrix environment alongside Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and other cross-functional partners.
• Utilize available resources and peer-to-peer education to bridge knowledge gaps.
• Navigate the healthcare landscape to identify opportunities within academic institutions, IDNs, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospital systems.
• Build and sustain relationships with local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Cultivate and maintain thorough knowledge of diseases, therapies, clinical data, and scientific advancements.
• Employ a consultative, technical, and solution-oriented selling approach for Rare Disease patients.
• Adhere to compliance and corporate policies, including documentation and reporting practices.
• For Account Manager Level 4: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales; OR an Associate degree with 6 years of such sales experience; OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant sales experience.
• For Specialty Account Manager Level 5: A Doctorate degree with 2 years of combined experience in account management, sales, and commercial roles; OR a Master's degree with 6 years; OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years; OR an Associate degree with 10 years of experience.
• Preferred: Over 7 years of experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals, or rare disease sales.
• At least 3 years of experience in rare disease/orphan drug, nephrology, injection/infusion, or matrix selling environments where applicable.
• Familiarity with patient access services, market access, medical affairs, reimbursement, and patient support services.
• Experience in educating healthcare professionals about complex diseases and various patient profiles.
• Proven track record of outstanding performance.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, computer, interpersonal, and professional abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including some overnight and weekend obligations.
