This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Assist in the sales and expansion activities of Ansys software, from lead generation to opportunity closure.
• Optimize sales profitability, drive revenue growth, and ensure renewal success within assigned accounts.
• Conduct sales activities for both new and renewal business to meet or surpass revenue targets.
• Build and nurture business relationships with both existing and potential customers.
• Ensure license renewals and create new software business opportunities for PADT.
• Formulate account plans that emphasize growth opportunities and follow-up strategies.
• Engage with customers and prospects via phone and conduct in-person visits throughout the designated territory.
• Identify customer challenges and business initiatives in collaboration with internal technical resources.
• Develop ROI-based proposals and quotes that align with customer goals and outcomes.
• Research and compile lists of prospective customers.
• Maintain an understanding of PADT products and services to drive opportunity generation.
• Collaborate sales efforts with Sales Management, Accounting, Engineering Services, Marketing, and Ansys Partner teams.
• Participate in trade shows, conventions, training sessions, and seminars.
• Update PADT and Ansys SFDC records, project sales revenues, and prepare reports on territory and account sales.
• A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a bachelor's degree coupled with technical sales experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in software license and/or renewal sales with a demonstrated record of success.
• Fundamental understanding of the industrial product development process, CAD, Design Analysis, PLM, or Engineering Simulation market sectors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of delivering visual presentations, including to executive-level audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proven ability to cultivate and advance customer relationships.
• Previous success in increasing company revenue.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires authorization; candidates must be U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or must otherwise obtain U.S. Government authorization.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Ansys products/services and software pricing practices.
• Preferred: Experience with successful business transactions in industrial companies.
• Preferred: 2 years of field sales experience.
