This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Formulate and execute both tactical and strategic plans for designated accounts that align with NPAA’s commercial objectives.
• Oversee strategic projects, establish objectives, conduct meetings, delegate responsibilities, and evaluate and present outcomes with teams in Lansing and Cleveland.
• Prepare monthly reports for assigned accounts.
• Process sample orders and facilitate product commercialization as required.
• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities alongside the Technical Team within the designated geographic territory.
• Collaborate with all departments to address problems and maintain Action Registers as necessary.
• Establish robust relationships with customers across plant, purchasing, and engineering levels.
• Independently market NPAA products and services.
• Create and revise annual sales budgets and account reforecasts.
• Lead the development of supply agreements and contracts with target customers.
• Execute forecasting duties, conduct monthly forecasting reviews, and secure customer acknowledgment for production materials.
• Manage aged inventory in accordance with supply agreement stipulations.
• Oversee pricing strategies and update customer pricing on an annual basis.
• Examine customer profitability data to formulate margin enhancement and maintenance strategies.
• Organize and facilitate customer visits, tours, audits, and meetings for new program launches.
• Track customer quality scorecards and spearhead improvement action plans.
• Complete annual or updated evaluations of Customer Supplier Quality manuals.
• Coordinate communication between departments; no direct reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree with five (5) years of experience in Automotive Coatings in Technical Service, Color Lab, Outside/Inside Sales, or equivalent of 10+ years in coatings experience in Technical Service, Color Lab, or Inside/Outside Sales.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
• Prior experience in OEM sales account management within automotive coatings is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Familiarity with BOBJ is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of NPAA product offerings.
• Willingness to travel within the territory for support meetings in Lansing, Cleveland, and as required by customers.
