This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Act as the main point of contact for a designated portfolio of Select Business commercial insurance accounts.
• Oversee daily service requirements, including policy modifications, endorsements, certificates of insurance, billing questions, audits, claims support, and inquiries regarding coverage.
• Engage in proactive account management to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
• Facilitate renewals by collecting underwriting data, marketing accounts when suitable, drafting proposals, and assessing coverage alternatives.
• Provide clients with guidance on commercial insurance coverages and risk management strategies.
• Foster relationships with clients, carriers, underwriters, and internal team members.
• Address client inquiries accurately and within established service standards and timelines.
• Review policies and endorsements, clarifying coverage details for clients.
• Identify coverage deficiencies and refer opportunities for additional products and services to Producers.
• Keep precise client records in agency management systems and carrier platforms.
• Assist with claims reporting and coordination.
• Monitor market trends, carrier appetites, industry developments, and relevant insurance offerings.
• Ensure adherence to agency protocols, carrier specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Producers and other service team members.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of customer service experience within the insurance sector is required.
• Must possess and maintain the necessary licenses and certifications pertinent to the area of expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Competent in using relevant technology.
• Capability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Willingness to travel as dictated by client and business needs.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License is required or the ability to secure one within a set timeframe.
• Experience in servicing small business commercial insurance accounts.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance coverages.
• Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM technologies.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance account management, customer service, or agency operations is preferred.
• Experience with agency management systems such as Applied Epic, Sagitta, or similar platforms is preferred.
