This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Act as the main point of contact for a designated portfolio of Select Business commercial insurance accounts.
• Oversee daily service requirements, which include policy modifications, endorsements, insurance certificates, billing inquiries, audits, claims support, and coverage inquiries.
• Engage in proactive account management efforts to bolster client retention and satisfaction.
• Facilitate renewals, collect underwriting information, market accounts, prepare renewal proposals, and discuss coverage options with clients.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding commercial insurance coverages and risk management strategies.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients, carriers, underwriters, and internal team members.
• Respond to client inquiries accurately and efficiently, adhering to service standards and timelines.
• Review insurance policies and endorsements, conveying coverage specifics to clients.
• Detect coverage gaps and refer opportunities for supplementary insurance products and services to Producers.
• Maintain precise client records within the agency management system and carrier platforms.
• Aid in claims reporting and coordination.
• Keep an eye on market conditions, shifts in carrier appetite, industry trends, and pertinent insurance products.
• Ensure adherence to agency procedures, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Producers and service team members to ensure a positive client experience.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of customer service experience within the insurance sector is essential.
• Must hold current necessary licenses and certifications pertinent to the area of expertise.
• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrates effective customer service abilities.
• Proficient in the use of relevant technology.
• Capable of working in both team settings and independently.
• Must be willing to travel based on client and business requirements.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License is required or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
• Experience in servicing small business commercial insurance accounts.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance coverages.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage a high-volume portfolio and multiple responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM technologies.
