This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Manage and enhance Abbott’s footprint in South Carolina.
• Act as a reliable advisor to current customers by fostering relationships, comprehending stakeholder priorities, conducting business assessments, and providing proactive solutions.
• Create and implement strategic account plans aimed at safeguarding and expanding the customer base, increasing value, enhancing profitability, and meeting annual growth targets.
• Recognize operational enhancements, optimize reagent usage, broaden product adoption, and foresee future customer requirements.
• Oversee sales processes and account strategies utilizing SFDC, Power BI, Microsoft tools, sales metrics, forecasting, and analytics.
• Direct contract negotiations, pricing strategies, proposals, bid preparations, customer implementation efforts, and renewal strategies.
• Keep abreast of product, market, and competitive insights to sway purchasing choices and position Abbott solutions effectively.
• Collaborate with sales teams, health systems, distribution, business analysts, partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and manage relationships with third-party distributors through training, sales support, technical expertise, performance oversight, and communication.
• Propel growth, market share, revenue, profitability, customer loyalty, contract renewals, and new business opportunities for infectious disease diagnostic products.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrable success in medical sales, preferably in the diagnostics sector.
• Experience collaborating with distribution partners.
• Willingness to travel within the designated territory (4 days/week, with approximately 35% overnight travel).
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory and point-of-care environments, health system operations, and health economics.
• Strong financial insight and the ability to analyze healthcare market data.
• Proven experience as an individual contributor, including problem-solving, complex selling, planning, and execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a record of success in a team selling context.
• Capability to effectively communicate across various organizational levels.
• Experience with complex contracting and negotiation processes.
• Adherence to FDA regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
