This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Manage and enhance Abbott’s presence in South Carolina.
• Act as a trusted advisor to current customers by fostering relationships, grasping stakeholder priorities, conducting business reviews, and offering proactive solutions.
• Formulate and implement strategic account plans to safeguard and expand the customer base, enhance value, increase profitability, and meet annual growth targets.
• Recognize operational enhancements, optimize reagent usage, broaden product adoption, and foresee future customer requirements.
• Oversee the sales process and account strategy utilizing SFDC, Power BI, Microsoft tools, sales metrics, forecasting, and analytics.
• Spearhead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, proposals, bid preparations, customer implementation efforts, and renewal planning.
• Keep up-to-date with product, market, and competitive knowledge to influence purchasing decisions and position Abbott solutions effectively.
• Collaborate with sales, health system, distribution, analytics, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and manage relationships with third-party distributors through training, sales support, technical expertise, performance management, and ongoing communication.
• Propel growth, market share, revenue, customer loyalty, contract renewals, and new business for infectious disease diagnostic products.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated success in medical sales, preferably within the diagnostics sector.
• Experience collaborating with distribution partners.
• Willingness to travel within the designated territory (4 days/week, with up to approximately 35% overnight travel).
• Comprehensive understanding of laboratory and point-of-care environments, health system operations, and health economics.
• Strong financial acumen and capability to analyze healthcare market data.
• Proven experience as an individual contributor including problem-solving, complex selling, planning, and execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a record of success in a team selling environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at various organizational levels.
• Experience with complex contracting and negotiation.
• Adherence to FDA regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
