This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee a portfolio of current customer accounts to sustain and enhance sales while achieving customer objectives.
• Identify and execute marketing and sales outreach strategies tailored to individual accounts.
• Cultivate long-lasting customer relationships and respond to their needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for each customer's specific requirements.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and client services to showcase offerings and conclude business transactions.
• Facilitate the CDA and MSA processes as necessary.
• Address customer disputes and provide solutions utilizing internal resources.
• Report monthly on account and transaction statuses to sales leadership.
• Present territory performance metrics to internal stakeholders.
• Establish and monitor sales account targets in alignment with company goals.
• Create and evaluate account business plans and quarterly KPIs.
• Relay customer insights and market intelligence to product management and marketing teams.
• Maintain precise CRM data for effective account management and forecasting.
• Monitor customer organizational changes, acquisitions, and potential new business opportunities.
• Generate quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
• Analyze sales metrics and pinpoint actions to enhance performance and growth.
• Promote transactional sales through eCommerce by educating and monitoring customers.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a technical background related to drug discovery disciplines.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 3+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or a similar customer-facing position.
• Demonstrated success as a sales account manager in the life sciences sector or a comparable customer-facing role.
• Sufficient technical knowledge for sales development in drug discovery.
• Sales competencies including negotiation, customer relationship management, and price negotiation.
• Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office.
• Capability to manage time effectively for optimal business returns.
• Understanding of sales performance metrics and data analysis for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge or experience in drug discovery.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel within assigned customer territories.
• Proficiency in face-to-face customer interactions and conducting effective meetings.
• Competence in using remote communication tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete projects and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Strong business acumen and a problem-solving mindset.
• Analytical skills using BI, Excel, and standard data management tools.
