Account Manager – Healthcare Markets, Pharmacy Benefit Management

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance relationships with brokers and clients through daily support.

• Offer consultation regarding benefit plans and in-house pharmacy reporting requirements.

• Communicate proactively, resolve issues promptly, and advocate for RxBenefits and PBM services and products.

• Prepare and present both ad-hoc and standard monthly reports.

• Understand client organizational structures, products, services, news, and organizational changes.

• Stay informed about developments in the drug and PBM industry market.

• Assist the SAE during the implementation of in-house pharmacies for new and existing clients.

• Coordinate changes to benefit plans with client operations teams.

• Act as the primary point of contact for HR and in-house pharmacy personnel.

• Build relationships with service partners and client contacts.

• Aid in the onboarding and implementation of new clients with in-house pharmacies.

• Manage member communication deliverables, including letters and open enrollment materials.

• Participate in benefit fairs requested by clients.

• Conduct quality checks on claims adjudication, benefit documents, and internal documentation.

• Assist with recommendations for benefit plan changes and submit requirements for such changes.

• Research, escalate, and coordinate the resolution of client issues.

• Maintain client information within the RxBenefits Salesforce system.

• Assist in conducting data audits.

• Attend client reviews and meetings, document notes, and support follow-up actions.

• Prioritize analytical tasks and manage lifecycle deliverables to meet deadlines.

• Meet or surpass team and departmental objectives.

• Engage in educational events and training for in-house pharmacies.

• Keep department materials, contacts, and intranet content updated.

• Assist in developing job aids and training resources.

• Present a positive image to employees, members, providers, and the community.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Account Manager or Implementation Specialist role.

• Background in related industries such as PBM, pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare.

• Professional experience in supporting hospital staff and in-house pharmacies.

• High-level performance with a designated partner (SAE).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Employee Benefits insurance.

• Extensive understanding of the PBM industry and in-house pharmacy environment.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry policies and contract documents.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively in a team.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
