This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +5 more states.
• Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of small group employer clients.
• Oversee high-volume daily client service requirements via phone and email.
• Develop and sustain relationships with clients and carriers through proactive outreach.
• Facilitate virtual Teams meetings for discussions on open enrollment and renewals.
• Manage, triage, delegate, and ensure follow-through on significant client service matters.
• Assist with renewals by organizing plan options and collecting necessary information.
• Identify and seek out cross-sell opportunities for additional coverage options.
• Provide assistance with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Health Care Reform compliance inquiries.
• Keep precise client records and document interactions in the CRM system.
• Oversee client calendars, renewals, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Stay informed about carrier products, plan designs, underwriting guidelines, and legislative updates.
• Engage in team meetings, huddles, special projects, process enhancements, and new service development initiatives.
• Fluency in the English language is mandatory.
• An active Life & Health Insurance License is required.
• An Insurance Producer's License is necessary.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in small group employee health benefits, ideally within a health insurance brokerage setting.
• Strong grasp of small group insurance products, carrier processes, and plan design, which includes medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD.
• Understanding of carrier submission requirements for new business and renewals.
• Familiarity with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ACA/Health Care Reform compliance standards.
• Must hold a license in Texas, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, and/or Maine.
• Capability to work during eastern or central business hours.
• An Associate's degree is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), web-based tools, and CRM systems.
• Ability to manage a high-volume book of business, prioritize competing demands, and adhere to deadlines.
• Skills in problem-solving, triaging service issues, delegating effectively, and ensuring resolution.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
