This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Propel profitable sales growth and enhance ZEISS's market presence within a designated territory.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, clinics, hospitals, and various healthcare stakeholders.
• Formulate and implement annual business plans for the territory and account-specific growth strategies.
• Identify and pursue emerging business opportunities.
• Analyze performance within the territory to optimize revenue and market share.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to implementation, installations, and post-sale support.
• Conduct customer meetings, deliver sales presentations, and perform product demonstrations and evaluations.
• Create proposals and recommendations that align with customer goals.
• Maintain the sales pipeline and generate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
• Educate healthcare professionals and support staff on product applications and optimal practices.
• Assist in product implementation and customer onboarding.
• Develop strategic account plans and evaluate equipment footprints, technology usage, replacement cycles, and business requirements.
• Monitor competitor activities, market dynamics, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Lead or engage in RFPs, RFQs, tenders, contract negotiations, and implementation tasks.
• Support product launches, promotional campaigns, customer education initiatives, conferences, trade shows, and marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical Applications, Customer Care, Service, Finance, Sales Administration, and associated business units.
• Assist in the onboarding and development of newly hired Account Managers as needed.
• Maintain customer, pipeline, and opportunity data utilizing Salesforce.
• Complete activity reports, sales forecasts, expense reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Aid in customer orders, delivery coordination, and problem resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, ISO processes, provincial and federal laws, and ZEISS ethics standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience managing a geographic sales territory and meeting revenue targets.
• Experience in presenting, negotiating, and fostering relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with supporting RFPs, RFQs, tenders, or healthcare procurement processes.
• Skilled in using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic technologies, chronic disease management solutions, or related healthcare products.
• Three to five (3-5) years of sales experience or relevant field experience.
• Strong capabilities in prospecting, account development, and territory planning.
• Proven ability to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building and stakeholder management.
• Consultative sales approach focused on long-term customer success.
• Outstanding presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Capability to effectively communicate clinical, technical, and business information.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market, customer, and sales data.
• Proficient in developing strategic business recommendations and account plans.
• Proficient with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid motor vehicle license.
• Must be fluent in French and English.
• Extensive travel required by car and/or air; willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training, meetings, exhibit support, and coverage beyond the assigned territory.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
• Evening and weekend work may be necessary.
• Product demonstrations may necessitate weekend work and frequent travel.
