This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
• Oversee relationships with clients and customers, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Manage the overall territory, including equipment and consumable sales objectives, profitability, and account oversight.
• Create and implement detailed territory strategies to boost revenue and acquire new business.
• Provide sales forecasts on a quarterly basis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly Clinical Specialists, to enhance technology adoption.
• Sustain current business, ensure contractual compliance, and pursue incremental business opportunities.
• Investigate customer issues and implement corrective measures.
• Keep account data, contacts, and pipeline opportunities updated in CRM.
• Target new business through the use of analytical tools.
• Identify key influencers and assess customer needs.
• Educate customers about products, concepts, and industry developments.
• Develop clinical, economic, and technical advocates.
• Conduct sales presentations and product evaluations, gather data, and facilitate customer conversions.
• Organize multidisciplinary hospital consensus meetings.
• Prepare quotes for equipment and consumables and establish local contract agreements.
• Secure capital funding at the hospital or departmental level.
• Oversee post-sale product implementation from contract signing to go-live, including device installation, software integration, and laboratory equipment validation.
• Consult with internal product development regarding new products and services.
• Collaborate with key opinion leaders and industry thought leaders.
• Attend industry conventions and trade shows.
• Provide product feedback to Sales, Marketing, and R&D departments.
• Participate in continuous virtual and in-person training and stay updated on clinical procedures, studies, and competitive innovations.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time on average, with a base in the Pittsburgh/Ohio area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science.
• Minimum of 6 years in Medical Device and/or Hospital Sales.
• Prior Medical Device sales experience, ideally targeting Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and administrators within the designated territory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced in negotiation tactics.
• Proven capability to build and maintain relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of the medical device market, products, and clientele.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic combined with a sense of urgency to achieve goals.
• Highly developed business acumen with experience in identifying and prioritizing key customer accounts.
• Proven ability to establish personal credibility within the targeted territory to effectively convey the company’s message to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians while overcoming challenges.
• Emotional Intelligence to manage schedules and clinical resources effectively and efficiently.
• Strategic thinker and tactical planner with a flexible, innovative, and resourceful approach to achieving objectives as both a leader and a contributor.
• Sales incentive (commission) in accordance with applicable plan terms.
