Account Manager, Automotive Industry / Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee automotive manufacturers and suppliers within the southern Bavaria sales area.

• Offer technical assistance to Account Managers across Germany.

• Counsel and support automotive OEMs and suppliers in specified market sectors.

• Secure new orders, maintain existing business, and foster business growth.

• Take on sales responsibilities for assigned customers.

• Establish processing priorities to meet targeted sales growth.

• Develop realistic sales strategies for the upcoming fiscal year and evaluate current fiscal year plans.

• Recognize customer potential and bring in new clients.

• Collect data on market standing and competitive dynamics.

• Plan volumes and sales as part of operational strategy and reassessment.

• Showcase products and the organization to clients.

• Create requirements profiles for new or upgraded products.

• Initiate new applications and assist in the development and enhancement of new products.

• Address product- and application-related issues and escalate them to the appropriate specialist departments at headquarters.

• Participate in trade fairs and exhibitions.

• Assist with the launch of new products and facilitate customer trials.

• Document key customer activities and market trends in the CRM system, visit reports, or Global Reports, and share them with headquarters in Munich.

• Provide training for customers.

• Compile monthly travel expense reports.

• Support product development, enhancements, and private-label initiatives.

• Engage in project teams and lead personal projects to refine sales processes and contribute to profitable growth.

• Manage customer-specific and technical correspondence utilizing targeted value selling.

• Deliver application engineering and technical consulting.


⛳️ Requirements

• Solid technical expertise, particularly in machine elements, gained through an engineering or technician qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Fundamental commercial awareness.

• Several years of experience in selling products that necessitate detailed explanations and intensive consulting.

• An entrepreneurial mindset coupled with a professional, customer-oriented approach; determined, persistent, confident in negotiations, collaborative, and persuasive.

• Open-minded, sociable, and driven to sell high-quality products.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel extensively.

• Class 3 driving license.

• Strong team spirit and exceptional communication skills.
