This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.
• Oversee relationships between client groups and brokers.
• Deliver reports to client groups and engage in discussions regarding reporting metrics.
• Supervise claim-related issues, funding, reinsurance, and service concerns.
• Collaborate with clients and brokers to address ongoing challenges.
• Assist Account Executive teams with the implementation of new business and renewal tasks.
• Clearly convey the LEA value proposition to both clients and brokers.
• Recognize potential new sales opportunities within current groups.
• Communicate with clients regarding significant claim situations and company oversight/management.
• Address group-level claims, funding, and eligibility issues by utilizing appropriate resources.
• Keep leadership updated on group issues and their resolutions.
• Meet clients in person when necessary and conduct regular phone or virtual check-ins.
• Respond to phone calls and emails within one business day.
• Generate meeting summaries that document client interactions, key takeaways, and issue-resolution timelines.
• Support special projects, including sales RFP requests.
• Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly specialty plan analysis reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive in a healthcare insurance role.
• Expertise in managing third-party and self-insured client relationships.
• Familiarity with medical, dental, life, reimbursement accounts, ancillary products, and stop-loss insurance.
• Producer license in the state of employment; Life Agent license preferred.
• Knowledge of employee benefits plans, regulations, administration, Health Care Reform, and the American Rescue Plan Act.
• Experience with benefit administration platforms, such as Javelina, is preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnosis codes is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional keyboard and computer navigation skills, with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Clear and professional communication skills with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, problem-solving, analytical skills, confidentiality, organization, adaptability, and follow-through.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally between offices.
• Capability to perform computer-based work while seated for the entirety of the shift.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
• Salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year.
