This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Drive positive sales growth within a designated geography or vertical market.
• Manage approximately 40–45 existing accounts with an annual revenue of around $2M.
• Utilize Grainger’s Salesforce CRM system for daily operational activities.
• Report directly to the District Sales Manager.
• Comprehend customer objectives and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
• Exhibit familiarity with market data and leverage resources to address changes in customers’ businesses.
• Supervise managed inventory support functions to enhance customer insights, boost customer-group interactions, and improve sales outcomes.
• Offer solutions grounded in Grainger’s Value Proposition to foster profitable sales growth.
• Formulate account penetration tactics, including regular business reviews for key customers.
• Travel to client locations within the designated market at least once a month or as necessary.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience).
• Proficient in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
• Travel to each customer within the aligned market required at least once per month, or more frequently as necessary.
• Possess process discipline and the capability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development strategy to enhance market revenue.
• Ability to apply the sales process to identify customer objections/concerns and provide suitable solutions.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Attendance at customer sites may be necessary, along with compliance to relevant health and safety regulations.
• Personal protective equipment may be necessary, including a hard hat, steel-toed safety boots, and a clean-shaven or neatly trimmed moustache/beard for proper fitting of N95 mask or other required PPE.
• May need to undergo customer-mandated alcohol and drug screening procedures.
• All external candidates must complete pre-employment background checks.
