This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Provide training and support for products and services related to Job Order Contracting (JOC) for clients within a designated geographic region.
• Develop and maintain schedules outlining detailed activities to achieve procurement goals within a defined timeframe for clients.
• Execute and adhere to project protocols from the identification phase through construction execution for various Job Orders.
• Assist in supervising the development and evaluation of project scopes of work.
• Review proposals to ensure compliance with contract requirements throughout the notice to proceed and construction execution phases.
• Interpret and comprehend construction plans and specifications.
• Conduct thorough reviews of price proposals.
• Create and assess detailed construction line item proposals.
• Educate contractors on Gordian software and client protocols.
• Support clients in the contract bidding process.
• Liaise with clients and internal team members to guarantee projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting, preferably in both facility and road construction.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in commercial public construction operations, including pricing and contracting, as well as scope development and estimating/price proposal preparation.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to effectively manage multiple projects both in development and in the field simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-building capabilities.
• Flexible, strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, goal-oriented, client-focused, and results-driven.
• Ability to meet both client and corporate deadlines.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Competence in developing and producing custom tracking documents and reports.
• Background in construction documentation and administration preferred, though not mandatory.
• Experience with Job Order Contracting or IDIQ is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of various public procurement and project delivery methods and requirements.
• Willingness to travel 30-50%.
