This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee and expand direct accounts and prospects within the designated territory.
• Establish and meet sales objectives, encompassing call activities, reporting, prospecting, and the development of new accounts.
• Supervise daily sales operations that align with business priorities and growth goals.
• Formulate and implement sales tactics for targeted beverage and dairy markets.
• Recognize and convert new prospects by utilizing available resources and professional networks.
• Leverage market intelligence to foresee customer requirements and provide innovative, value-added solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Align territory strategies with overarching growth goals and market developments.
• Spearhead strategic account engagement and cultivate relationships with executives across retail branded, co-packer, private label, QSR, and industrial channels.
• Assess customer requirements and work together with Marketing, Product Development, and internal partners to create marketable solutions.
• Actively seek market-driven opportunities to enhance Balchem's competitive stance.
• Organize, schedule, carry out, and document regular sales meetings in Salesforce.com.
• Coordinate sales initiatives supporting customer service, customer relations, and administrative functions.
• Address customer issues and ensure prompt, effective resolutions.
• Respond to inquiries for samples, technical information, product support, and application advice.
• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and business leadership to analyze market trends and develop commercially viable solutions.
• 5–7 years of experience in B2B food ingredient sales.
• A proactive and growth-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and enhance market presence.
• Strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial approach to business development and long-term growth plans.
• Proficiency in consultative, solutions-oriented selling and influencing stakeholders across various organizational levels.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation capabilities, and an executive presence.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence.
• Proven success in securing complex commercial opportunities and expanding strategic accounts.
• A bachelor's degree is required; preferred fields include Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing, Management, or related areas.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% for customer visits, trade shows, and facility tours.
• Experience in beverage contract manufacturing, operations, or engineering is advantageous.
