This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee customers’ import/export brokerage and freight forwarding requirements throughout the duration of an engagement
• Solicit and evaluate shipping options, recommending routes based on cost, transit duration, carrier choices, and client specifications
• Track shipment loading, departure, transit, arrival, and final delivery
• Resolve unexpected shipment challenges utilizing Federal Maritime Commission and U.S. Customs guidelines
• Act as the primary point of contact for designated clients, striving to surpass customer satisfaction
• Prepare and manage documentation for U.S. Customs and other governmental entities
• Provide rate quotations in coordination with the internal quoting team and identify optimal routing and carrier solutions
• Ensure accurate and punctual billing processes
• Maintain and assist in developing company policies regarding credit, pricing, account management, and service delivery
• Serve as power of attorney to execute official company documents
• Organize and maintain client transaction records
• Ensure adherence to global import/export regulations
• Draft letters of credit
• May accompany the General Manager or assigned Sales Executive on customer site visits
• Collaborate with operations and various company departments using independent judgment to meet assigned goals
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed
• CES or CCS certification preferred; LCB is advantageous
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory
• College degree is a plus
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience is required
• Proficiency in international logistics across all modes is essential
• Familiarity with the customs process is necessary
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ten-key skills
• Capable of applying percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios
• Ability to compute discounts, rates, area, circumference, and volume
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license
• Competence in safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
• Skill in prioritizing, organizing, and delegating multiple tasks and projects
• Ability to address practical problems with limited standardization
• Proficient in interpreting written, oral, diagrammatic, and scheduling instructions
• Capable of working independently while remaining organized, punctual, honest, and self-motivated
