This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Spearhead initiatives alongside Account Managers to enhance sales, secure orders, and establish key technical lines.
• Engage with pertinent accounts and provide consultation to customers on product and system applications.
• Formulate marketing plans and strategies while advising management on their execution and effectiveness.
• Document and monitor the sales pipeline for one or multiple focal areas.
• Design and implement sales strategies for designated focus areas.
• Guide new employees and assist colleagues in learning their roles.
• Deliver prompt, high-quality customer service and ensure timely follow-up on quotes, technical inquiries, and other requests.
• Represent Landis+Gyr and Border States at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
• Contribute to the planning and sales strategy for technical products and services, promoting agency and distribution lines.
• Facilitate high-level technical discussions with consultants, customers, and team members.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the power grid.
• Collaborate with application engineers on complex issues and provide technical product support.
• Engage with consultants across the territory and sustain communication with customer engineering teams.
• Input TCCM cost-savings documentation for designated customers.
• Assess new products and suggest appropriate stock levels.
• Provide insights to pricing and purchasing regarding product evaluations, code descriptions, inventory management, and pricing developments.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and employee-owners on technical product lines and applications.
• Execute product updates and oversee new product launches.
• Attend and support sales meetings, trade shows, and training programs.
• Offer technical training and presentations for staff and external customers as necessary.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or their designate.
• Familiarity with Landis+Gyr technology solutions.
• A 4-year technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the technical and business aspects of the focus area is required.
• Outstanding customer service skills, demonstrating competence, accuracy, responsiveness, and engagement.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities are preferred.
• Capacity to effectively plan, organize, and present information.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• A criminal background check is mandatory.
• A Motor Vehicle Record check is required for positions involving driving.
