This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Identify and explore new business prospects for Utilities Software solutions, with an emphasis on acquiring new logos.
• Enhance the utilization of technologies within existing accounts and partner relationships.
• Create and execute sales strategies aimed at large USA utilities and System Integrators.
• Reach out to potential clients to present the value proposition and assess their interest.
• Develop proposals and presentations tailored to customer requirements, coordinating with technical resources as necessary.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships within customer organizations.
• Close software sales and services while ensuring timely delivery, product satisfaction, and effective issue resolution.
• Document customer and prospect interactions in NetSuite.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual sales booking forecasts.
• Assist in budgeting and annual planning processes.
• Engage in and support customer service projects, ensuring a seamless transition from presales to post-sales execution.
• Attend key meetings throughout project delivery phases.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create programs and initiatives.
• Relay customer requirements feedback to the Products team for future product releases.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience selling software solutions to large USA utilities and/or large System Integrators (SIs) is essential.
• Proven track record in new business development/net-new sales, not just account expansion.
• Ability to position and sell SaaS enterprise solutions effectively.
• Demonstrated capacity to identify new market opportunities and maximize potential within existing accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and public speaking capabilities.
• A strong passion for sales and technology.
• An unwavering drive to meet targets while fostering long-term customer success.
• Proficient in using automated sales tools such as CRM applications (experience with NetSuite is preferred).
• Must reside in the contiguous U.S. with easy access to a commercial airport.
• Willingness to support up to 50% travel, primarily within the U.S.
• Experience in selling utility-sector solutions (such as GIS, asset management, or related enterprise software) will be considered a significant advantage.
