
Account Executive – Specialty Pharmacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Act as the company representative for both prospective and existing clients.
• Assess client satisfaction levels and suggest improvements to enhance their experience.
• Foster growth in specialty pharmacy by cultivating provider relationships, managing referral pipelines, and ensuring timely patient access to therapies.
• Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries and issues, working collaboratively to find resolutions.
• Build and nurture client relationships while seeking out additional account opportunities.
• Negotiate renewals, contracts, and the processes for intake referrals.
• Participate in patient care conferences and professional training sessions.
• Prioritize key accounts, oversee referral flow, and manage daily schedules using CRM tools.
• Engage with providers both in-person and virtually, provide education on specialty therapies, and address access challenges.
• Coordinate with hubs, case managers, and payers for prior authorizations, documentation, and onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, access teams, and manufacturer partners.
• Provide education and training to provider offices, staff, and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor referral trends, identify gaps in the territory, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
• Target new prescribers, infusion centers, and community opportunities to broaden the specialty footprint.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of sales experience.
• Preferred clinical patient support experience in a physician’s office, hospital, or pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with third-party reimbursement processes.
• Valid driver’s license for the current state.
• Willingness to travel 30%, including overnight stays.
• Strong ability to build relationships with providers and clients.
• Experience with managing referral pipelines and developing territory strategies.
• Knowledge of specialty therapies, payer landscapes, prior authorizations, documentation, and patient onboarding processes.
