This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the South Central Texas region by selling Cofense’s phishing detection and response platform.
• Primarily generate your own sales pipeline through outbound efforts, social interactions, events, and partnerships.
• Manage full-cycle sales from the initial meeting to closing the deal.
• Develop and maintain a territory plan with specific account targets and partner engagement.
• Conduct discovery sessions and facilitate technical assessments with sales engineering.
• Successfully close deals ranging from five to low six figures.
• Establish a public profile within the security buyer community via LinkedIn and engagement with CISO and security awareness groups.
• Collaborate with regional partners like Optiv and GuidePoint to source opportunities and co-sell.
• Keep Salesforce records up to date with documented next steps, identified economic buyers, and realistic closing dates.
• Achieve the goal of first self-sourced pipeline and product certification within the initial 90 days.
• Attain consistent pipeline generation at coverage targets and close the first deal within six months.
• Meet or surpass quota within 12 months and advance towards a larger territory or enterprise segment.
• 1 to 2 years of experience as an account executive.
• Minimum of 18 months as a top-quartile Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR) at a B2B tech or SaaS organization.
• Proven outbound performance, including booked meetings, sourced pipeline, and closed business.
• Ability to build an audience through LinkedIn, newsletters, communities, podcasts, or related channels.
• Technologically proficient and quick to adopt new tools.
• Capability to discuss email security and the current threat landscape.
• Competence to operate an independent demo environment.
• Located in or willing to relocate to the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience in cybersecurity or infrastructure software is a plus.
• Familiarity with selling alongside or through channel partners.
• Previous exposure to security awareness training or email security purchasers.
