This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Represent the Northern California region as a field sales expert for Abbott’s Molecular Diagnostic Division.
• Market and sell the complete range of Abbott’s Molecular products to hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), reference laboratories, and women's health clinics.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to facilitate complex decision-making processes and achieve quick victories.
• Propel market share expansion by recognizing and nurturing new business opportunities.
• Establish and implement best practices by utilizing customer insights.
• Effectively prioritize and plan to optimize business operations.
• Utilize cross-functional teams and resources in a cooperative setting.
• Cultivate enduring customer relationships by comprehending their needs and providing mutually beneficial solutions.
• Predict sales deficiencies and activate contingency plans through effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Oversee intricate, long-term capital sales processes.
• Comprehend client objectives across laboratory, procurement, medical director, clinical engineering, and C-suite stakeholders and assess the impact of Abbott’s solutions.
• Partner with the Enterprise Account Manager to secure contracts within large hospital networks.
• Manage and drive renewals for non-enterprise accounts to ensure high retention and customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside within the Northern California region; ideal location is San Francisco/Bay Area.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% within the assigned territory and to other locations across the U.S.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sales, including exceeding targets and revitalizing underperforming areas.
• Experience in capital sales and/or environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop and sell tailored solutions to senior-level and C-suite executives.
• Skills in innovation and change management.
• Strong business planning capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient in Salesforce.com CRM system.
• Preferred background in diagnostics or laboratory sales, particularly in capital equipment sales.
• Ability to acquire technical and scientific knowledge and apply it in sales scenarios.
