This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as a field sales professional covering the Northern California territory for Abbott’s Molecular Diagnostic Division.
• Promote Abbott’s comprehensive range of Molecular products to hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), reference laboratories, and women's health clinics.
• Propel significant growth in the territory by acquiring new clients and enhancing existing relationships.
• Engage with various stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to facilitate complex decision-making and achieve immediate results.
• Discover and nurture new business opportunities to increase market share.
• Formulate and implement best practices informed by customer insights.
• Effectively prioritize and plan to optimize business operations.
• Utilize cross-functional teams and resources within a collaborative framework.
• Establish enduring customer partnerships through a thorough understanding of their needs and providing mutually beneficial solutions.
• Anticipate potential sales deficits and devise contingency plans through effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Oversee intricate, long-term capital sales cycles.
• Comprehend client objectives across laboratory, procurement, medical director, clinical engineering, and C-suite stakeholders, quantifying the impact of Abbott's solutions.
• Partner with the Enterprise Account Manager to secure business within large hospital systems.
• Manage and drive renewals for non-enterprise accounts to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 4 years of pertinent experience.
• Must reside within the territory; the preferred location is San Francisco/Bay Area.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% within the assigned territory and to other locations in the US.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sales, including surpassing targets and revitalizing underperforming territories.
• Experience in capital sales and/or environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Background in developing and selling tailored solutions to senior-level/C-suite executives.
• Skills in innovation and change management.
• Strong business planning capabilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with SalesForce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Experience in diagnostic or laboratory sales, preferably in capital equipment sales.
• Ability to acquire and apply technical and scientific knowledge in sales scenarios.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills alongside customer-facing experience.
