Account Executive Lead

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Act as the main point of contact and strategic representative for designated pharmacy clients.

β€’ Manage daily account operations and foster strategic relationships with clients, which includes conducting account meetings, business reviews, communications, escalations, and engaging with executives.

β€’ Oversee a specific line of business and ensure client expectations are aligned with operational execution.

β€’ Guarantee that contractual obligations, service commitments, and deliverables are fulfilled accurately and punctually.

β€’ Lead the implementation and transition activities for new clients, programs, and service enhancements, which encompasses planning, readiness, testing, communication, launch support, and the shift to ongoing operations.

β€’ Supervise service delivery, service-level agreements, performance guarantees, and client obligations.

β€’ Facilitate the prompt resolution of issues impacting members, pharmacy access, claims, specialty fulfillment, rebates, and clinical programs.

β€’ Oversee the performance of pharmacy programs across retail, mail, specialty, rebates, formulary, utilization management, and associated benefit operations.

β€’ Identify risks and assist in corrective actions and optimizations.

β€’ Create and deliver reports, dashboards, scorecards, executive summaries, and business reviews.

β€’ Analyze operational, financial, pharmacy, claims, utilization, and rebate data to detect trends and suggest enhancements.

β€’ Confirm the accuracy and comprehensiveness of reporting and deliverables generated by internal teams, operational support partners, Clean Team resources, and third-party vendors.

β€’ Manage relationships and performance with PBMs, specialty pharmacies, manufacturers, network partners, and other vendors.

β€’ Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, service delivery, and client outcomes.

β€’ Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Account Management.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Public Health, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

β€’ 3–5 years of account management or similar client-facing experience in a health plan, PBM, pharmacy services, managed care, or healthcare services setting.

β€’ Experience in supporting pharmacy benefits or operations, including retail, mail, specialty, rebates, clinical programs, or managed care services.

β€’ Proven success as the primary contact for large or complex accounts, along with coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.

β€’ Capability to analyze operational, financial, pharmacy, claims, and rebate data and convert findings into actionable recommendations.

β€’ Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, PBM services, benefit management, issue resolution, and service delivery.

β€’ Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, reporting platforms, and data analysis tools.

β€’ Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting while managing multiple priorities.

β€’ Experience with health plans, Blue plans, employer groups, government-sponsored programs, or PBM clients is strongly preferred.

β€’ Knowledge of formulary management, manufacturer contracting, utilization management, clinical programs, and operations for Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or Federal Employee Programs is strongly preferred.

β€’ Experience in leading client implementations, business transitions, operational projects, reporting, analytics, data governance, or Clean Team support is strongly preferred.

β€’ An MBA, PharmD, MHA, or another advanced healthcare or business degree is preferred.

β€’ Demonstrates AI literacy and an understanding of generative AI tools, including their appropriate business applications and limitations.
