This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Drive business development for Rx softgel and late-stage oral solids programs by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities.
• Establish strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Identify customer needs and align solutions with development and commercialization goals.
• Create and implement account plans.
• Oversee forecasting, pricing, contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and periodic business reviews.
• Collaborate with Research & Development, Contract Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Prepare proposals and negotiate development and commercial supply agreements.
• Present Catalent’s capabilities and value proposition to customers, global account teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Increase revenue through cross-selling, innovative solution development, and exploring new opportunities within Catalent’s service offerings.
• Analyze customer pipelines, R&D activities, sales trends, and market opportunities for territory planning and strategic decision-making.
• Maintain cross-functional communication and utilize CRM tools for account management and commercial execution.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of combined business development or sales experience and scientific or technical expertise in pharmaceutical contract service sales, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
• Experience or familiarity with proposal development, business quotes, budgeting, and managing defined timelines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and engage with scientists and technical staff.
• Proven success in new account penetration.
• Strong organizational skills to plan work, manage travel, and balance multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including visits to Catalent manufacturing facilities in Winchester, Kentucky, and St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as other international locations as required.
• Master’s degree, Master of Business Administration, or Doctor of Philosophy is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
• A thorough understanding of Rx softgel or oral solid-dose manufacturing is a plus.
