This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish new collaborations with community-based organizations, charter networks, and small to mid-sized school districts.

• Manage the mid-market sales pipeline focused on high-velocity transactions, typically ranging from $25K to $75K.

• Conduct consultative discovery sessions to assess staff capacity, instructor confidence, and curriculum deficiencies.

• Develop tailored proposals illustrating how Galileo integrates with district and community systems.

• Carry and achieve a new-business revenue target.

• Finalize multi-stakeholder agreements with education and finance decision-makers.

• Align proposals with public education funding cycles such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I.

• Generate leads through outbound prospecting and qualify incoming leads and SDR referrals.

• Identify and target K-12 districts, charter management organizations, and community-based organizations in California and key expansion areas.

• Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and SLED conferences and events.

• Identify enterprise-level opportunities and transition them to executive sales leadership.

• Complete onboarding and independently manage end-to-end sales discussions within the first month.

• Test pitch messaging, gather insights on objection handling, and document sales methodologies.

• Derive lessons from customer engagements to enhance the go-to-market strategy.

• Adjust sales strategies to cater to diverse educational stakeholders and regional markets.

• Maintain precise CRM data, stage hygiene, next steps, and closing dates.

• Provide credible forecasts, communicate pipeline risks, and document complex multi-site agreements.

• Visit camp locations between June and August to experience camp life and support teams.

• Advocate for Galileo Learning’s mission of providing out-of-school enrichment, expanded learning programs, curriculum, and instructional support.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience in customer-facing, revenue-generating roles.

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Expertise in selling within K-12 Education, SLED, charter networks, or community-based educational organizations.

• Strong understanding of public school system operations, district administrative frameworks, board approvals, RFPs, and public education funding sources.

• Experience with ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I funding programs.

• Capability to self-generate sales pipeline and manage fast-paced deal cycles measured in weeks.

• Proficient in consultative selling, including deep discovery, customer pain-point identification, and early disqualification when necessary.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and collaborate on sales processes.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Skillful in persuading diverse audiences and simplifying complex educational solutions.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and utilizing pipeline data to prioritize tasks.

• Alignment with Galileo’s mission and a commitment to a professional, welcoming, camp-inspired culture.

• During onboarding, may need to complete a TB screening, undergo background checks, and participate in state-mandated training.

• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.

• Ability to operate a computer, including typing and reading.

• Capability to see, hear, and speak at close and distant ranges.

• Proficient in using hands and fingers to handle classroom supplies and operate equipment.

• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and sitting required.
