This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive expansion by engaging with both new and existing clients and partners for AEM’s weather, wildfire, water monitoring, intelligence, risk management, and resiliency solutions within the designated territory.
• Report directly to the Director of Sales to establish and pursue quarterly and annual targets and quotas.
• Work alongside the go-to-market team to create and implement territory strategies.
• Identify and qualify potential customers and partners.
• Cultivate relationships with customer and partner stakeholders to comprehend their challenges and requirements.
• Advocate for AEM’s comprehensive solution offerings, including solution design, products, implementation, managed services, partner enablement, and program management.
• Stay informed about regulatory, funding, technology, competitor, and market trends.
• Collaborate with operations to guarantee customer satisfaction and account health.
• Manage bid requirements, proposal and quote creation, approvals, and submissions.
• Monitor sales and lead-generation efforts, forecasts, and customer and partner data in Salesforce.
• Develop deal structures, negotiate and finalize contracts, and obtain approvals for non-standard terms.
• Oversee accounts to ensure prompt revenue generation and collections.
• Educate and empower customers and partners regarding AEM solutions.
• Represent AEM at regional conferences and events as required.
• Minimum of 7 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Knowledge or experience in weather or hydrology decision support solutions and their applications.
• Proven history of achieving sales growth objectives.
• Experience in selling hydrology, weather, and climate resiliency products and services to state and local government agencies in the U.S.
• Understanding of account and territory planning, along with pipeline development and sales progression.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, meteorology, hydrology, environmental science, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience/training.
• Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presentations.
• Experience in selling complex technology and solutions; technical expertise is advantageous.
• Strong business acumen and ability to assess options and make effective recommendations.
• Experience managing multiple complex pursuits within tight deadlines and limited resources.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across various departmental groups in a matrix organization.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% to 50% of the time.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
