This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Optimize business potential for approved Parkinson’s disease drug-device combination products currently on the market.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with Movement Disorder Specialists, neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, department managers, and support personnel.
• Enhance understanding of product advantages and risks, as well as awareness of therapeutic gaps, in alignment with approved labels.
• Generate new business opportunities, expand existing accounts, optimize resource usage, and elevate sales to fulfill the established product portfolio sales objectives.
• Establish and uphold compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy organizations, support groups, and other patient assistance entities.
• Provide impactful on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls utilizing approved data and resources.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements while cultivating account relationships that benefit both patients and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with AbbVie’s in-field and in-house teams to identify, design, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the designated region.
• Develop, execute, and communicate strategic and tactical initiatives for targeted accounts.
• Track and report sales performance, maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Represent AbbVie and its designated products at events to foster relationships and provide product education.
• Relay key information, developments, and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Formulate territory account strategies, align resources, implement tactics, and modify strategies based on account, customer, and geographic factors.
• Stay informed about clinical, market, payer, and trends related to Parkinson’s Disease.
• Complete necessary training and uphold compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements for access to facilities and organizations.
• Position AbbVie as the preferred partner in the Parkinson’s and Neuroscience sectors with healthcare professionals and patient organizations.
• A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant industry experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of health science field or sales experience, including at least 2 years in pharmaceutical sales.
• Alternatively, 8+ years of health science sales experience, including no less than 4 years in pharmaceutical sales, may substitute for a degree.
• Strong ability to network and collaborate effectively across various functional areas.
• Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses may be required.
• Must possess the ability to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Completion of all required AbbVie training and adherence to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
