
Account Executive I/II, Parkinson's Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Optimize business potential for approved Parkinson’s disease products currently on the market.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, and support personnel.
• Enhance understanding of product advantages and risks while raising awareness of therapeutic gaps, in alignment with approved labels.
• Generate new business opportunities, expand existing operations, optimize resource usage, and boost sales to meet the designated product portfolio sales objectives.
• Create and uphold compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy groups, support organizations, and other patient-support entities.
• Conduct on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales discussions utilizing sanctioned data and resources.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements effectively.
• Collaborate with AbbVie field teams and internal departments to identify, design, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Act as the primary US Commercial liaison with targeted accounts within the assigned region.
• Develop, execute, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for key accounts.
• Track and report sales progress while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including occasional evenings or weekends.
• Represent AbbVie and the designated products at various events to foster relationships and deliver product education.
• Relay critical information, developments, and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Formulate and implement business strategies and territory account plans, allocate resources effectively, and adjust tactics as necessary.
• Stay informed about clinical, market, and payer developments relevant to Parkinson’s disease.
• Fulfill all required AbbVie training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Position AbbVie as the preferred partner in the Parkinson’s and Neuroscience sectors with healthcare professionals and patient organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Health Science Field or Sales, including at least 2 years in pharmaceutical sales.
• In the absence of a degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, with at least 4 years in pharmaceutical sales.
• Demonstrated ability to network and collaborate effectively across various functional areas.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• Established track record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex settings.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
• May require background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle or company car or truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
