This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage the high-velocity segment of the GalileoX partnerships pipeline.
• Establish new collaborations with community organizations, charter networks, and small to mid-sized school districts.
• Conduct consultative discovery to assess staff capabilities, instructor confidence, and curriculum deficiencies.
• Create tailored solution proposals that align with district and community systems.
• Uphold and achieve a new-business revenue target.
• Finalize multi-stakeholder agreements with decision-makers in education and finance.
• Ensure proposals align with public education funding cycles including ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I.
• Independently generate a considerable portion of the pipeline through outbound prospecting.
• Evaluate inbound leads and referrals from Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).
• Identify and target K-12 districts, charter management organizations, and community-based organizations (CBOs) in California and areas of expansion.
• Represent GalileoX at conferences and events related to afterschool programs, expanded learning, and SLED.
• Recognize enterprise-scale opportunities and transition them to executive sales leadership.
• Complete onboarding and take ownership of sales conversations from start to finish within the first month.
• Test and refine pitch messaging while documenting insights on objection handling for the sales playbook.
• Learn from customer interactions to enhance the go-to-market strategy.
• Tailor sales methods to fit various stakeholders and regional markets.
• Keep CRM data accurate, ensuring stage hygiene, next steps, and close dates are maintained.
• Provide credible forecasts, communicate pipeline risks, and document intricate multi-site deals.
• Passionate about Galileo's mission and keen to engage in a professional, inclusive, and camp-inspired culture.
• 3–7 years of experience in full-cycle, quota-carrying sales roles focused on revenue generation.
• Proven history of achieving sales targets.
• Expertise in selling within K-12 education, SLED, charter networks, or community-based educational organizations.
• Strong understanding of public school system operations, district administrative frameworks, board approvals, RFPs, and public education funding sources.
• Demonstrated ability to self-generate a sales pipeline and manage quick turnaround deal cycles.
• Excellent consultative selling capabilities, including thorough discovery, diagnosis of client challenges, and early disqualification when necessary.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at co-developing sales processes.
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to influence diverse audiences and articulate complex educational solutions in a straightforward manner.
• Proficient with CRM systems and managing pipeline data.
• Willingness to travel 5–10%, with potential for 10–15% travel for staff outside of camp territory.
• May need to complete TB screening, background checks, and state-mandated training during onboarding.
• Capability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to operate a computer, including typing and reading.
• Ability to see, hear, and communicate at nearby and distant ranges.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for handling classroom supplies and equipment.
