This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.
β’ Maintain relationships with clients and health insurance carrier representatives to retain co-broker small employer group accounts.
β’ Propose new coverage options and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
β’ Oversee the renewal process for assigned clients.
β’ Meet with clients and/or producers to present renewals along with supporting documentation.
β’ Secure acceptance of renewals or commitment to consider alternative options.
β’ Provide guidance on carrier administrative procedures and product availability.
β’ Assist clients in selecting the right group products.
β’ Follow up on service matters and renewals.
β’ Develop and nurture client and carrier relationships through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
β’ Enroll clients in Employee Benefits communication tools and provide demonstrations.
β’ Introduce resources to both new and existing clients during renewal periods.
β’ Conduct group meetings and webinars to inform customers about company services.
β’ Stay informed about company products, processes, insurance markets, and legal environments.
β’ Address conflicts, resolve issues, and deliver timely feedback to clients.
β’ Participate in team meetings and contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction.
β’ Professionally represent company services to support sales and organizational growth.
β’ An active Life & Health License is mandatory.
β’ An Associate's degree is preferred.
β’ A minimum of two (2) years of experience in small group employee health benefits is required.
β’ Strong understanding of carrier plan features, benefits, and underwriting guidelines.
β’ Familiarity with insurance products, ideally gained through employment with a group health insurance broker or carrier.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Exchange.
β’ Competent with web browsers, especially Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
β’ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of internal and external personnel.
β’ Capability to read and comprehend carrier plan features, benefits, underwriting guidelines, and company policies.
β’ Strong relationship-building skills.
β’ Ability to recognize when issues require escalation.
β’ Willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.
β’ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
β’ Fluency in the English language is required.
β’ Physical ability to sit, frequently speak and hear, occasionally stand, walk, bend, crawl, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
