This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Present and market Merit products to both new and existing clients.
• Follow up with customers to ensure that delivered products fulfill their requirements.
• Conduct in-service presentations for clinicians regarding new products and their applications.
• Build and nurture relationships with new clients as well as existing accounts.
• Demonstrate Merit products and articulate their advantages.
• Identify potential customers and opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Create customized drawings for bespoke kits or manifolds.
• Prepare and submit pricing agreements.
• Follow up to boost sales volume and profitability.
• Address manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on product shipments, information dissemination, and customer feedback.
• Make product pricing decisions within the bounds of approved authorization limits.
• Generate monthly reports detailing sales outcomes, contacts, product requirements, and suggestions for procedural improvements.
• Engage in sales training and strategic planning meetings.
• Stay informed about Merit and competitor products.
• Set and accomplish personal sales performance targets.
• Identify strategies to enhance market share, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Travel by car, plane, bus, and other means for sales responsibilities.
• Carry out other sales-related tasks as necessary.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, ideally in the medical products sector.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand the needs of others in a sales context.
• High level of personal motivation and determination to achieve personal and professional objectives.
• Excellent oral presentation abilities and quick-thinking skills for problem analysis and explanations to medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capability to learn the use of medical equipment and identify potential usage improvements.
• Ability to function effectively as a team member.
• Proficiency in business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales data.
• High degree of personal organization, including information recording, reporting, and documentation of work performed.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours as needed.
• Excellent driving record, with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one driving citation in that time frame.
• Proven computer skills, especially in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
