This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create profitable business opportunities for ZIM within an assigned customer portfolio.
• Identify growth areas and potential opportunities.
• Enhance sales in specified areas of responsibility.
• Oversee the sales process for designated customers and prospects.
• Specialize in handling special cargo, including out-of-gauge and hazardous materials.
• Manage the sales process with both potential and current customers.
• Establish, nurture, and oversee customer relationships.
• Conduct needs analysis, devise solutions, and negotiate agreements.
• Seek opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
• Maintain regular direct contact with customers as per the visit plan.
• Identify and address customer issues in conjunction with the sales team.
• Deliver sales presentations to key clients.
• Assess customer sales potential and strategize activities to increase wallet share.
• Identify and cultivate leads and new clientele.
• Analyze competitor activities and products in relation to ZIM’s offerings.
• Review market analysis to assess customer needs, contract terms, and pricing.
• Analyze customers for targeted sales campaigns and formulate sales growth plans.
• Communicate with trade and cross-functional teams regarding market insights, service updates, customer challenges, and opportunities.
• Implement sales best practices and utilize effective tools.
• Develop both strategic and tactical sales plans.
• Create customer account plans, including forecasts, growth potential assessments, and proposed growth strategies.
• Monitor and report on sales goals, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Forecast sales activities and establish personal and company objectives.
• Preferred academic background in Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, or International Negotiation.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a sales or marketing role within FFW, NVOCC, or the shipping industry.
• Sales account management experience is preferred.
• Relevant working experience in a local FFW, global company, or the shipping sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent command of the local language.
• Good proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Must reside in Dallas, Texas.
• Fully remote position.
