This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Identify and prioritize target K-12 schools and districts that have music programs by utilizing market research and industry insights.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Development Team to create a sales pipeline from potential new accounts.
• Conduct outbound calls, provide product demonstrations, and proactively visit strategic target customers.
• Initiate and sustain contact with prospects through phone calls, emails, meetings, and various communication channels.
• Inform prospects about products, services, and their specific advantages.
• Address objections and pinpoint opportunities to showcase value.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation and cold prospecting to pipeline management, negotiations, and closing deals.
• Achieve or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and targets.
• Offer insights into pipeline performance and enhance revenue forecast accuracy.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and convert product updates into compelling value propositions and discussion points.
• Collect feedback from prospects and advocate internally for customer-driven improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive CRM records detailing customer information, interactions, sales activities, and progress.
• Transition paying customers to the Customer Success team.
• Work in collaboration with Sales, Customer Support, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Report to the Sales Manager at MakeMusic.
• 1-3 years of experience in a SaaS sales role.
• Background as a music educator or equivalent experience in music SaaS sales.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with a preference for data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills coupled with a results-oriented mindset.
• Superior communication and interpersonal abilities in both written and verbal forms.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of appropriately prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects at once.
• Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of taking ownership of responsibilities while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Growth mindset: demonstrated ability to learn from errors, discover opportunities within challenges, and commit to continuous improvement.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Familiarity with our products - MakeMusic Cloud (formerly SmartMusic) is preferred.
• Working knowledge of CRM tools is desirable.
• Familiarity with Google Suite tools is a plus.
