This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement a go-to-market strategy and achieve annual sales targets within a designated territory.
• Formulate and execute a localized sales plan for the market.
• Oversee trade expenditure and negotiate pricing strategies.
• Execute marketing initiatives and ensure adherence to program compliance.
• Promote the Simplot product portfolio to distributors and enhance business profitability.
• Identify and engage key operator accounts effectively.
• Attain proficiency in the Simplot Sales Process and the Food Service Division’s market strategies.
• Articulate the advantages and product knowledge of the Simplot product line through a consultative approach.
• Build and nurture relationships with key management and sales teams at distributors and various market channels.
• Conduct product demonstrations, collaborate in commercial kitchens, and utilize culinary expertise.
• Achieve sales targets and manage the product portfolio efficiently.
• Represent the entire Simplot product line and conduct sales calls across different markets.
• Recruit and forge new sales partnerships.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Culinary, Demand Planning, Production, and Logistics teams.
• Analyze industry and market trends and propose product recommendations.
• Enhance and drive sales throughout the food service product portfolio.
• Utilize the Simplot CRM system (salesforce.com) effectively.
• Facilitate customer acceptance of new product launches and innovations.
• Integrate local market dynamics into strategic sales plans.
• Manage allocated trade dollars for operator and distributor expenditures.
• Ensure that sales forecasts and profit objectives are achieved.
• Implement promotional and scheduled activities as per the division marketing calendar.
• Identify and follow up on operator sales opportunities, aligning products with merchandising, recipes, culinary, and other solutions.
• Influence and persuade operators, distributors, and internal teams without direct authority.
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.
• A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in foodservice sales is necessary.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds is required.
• Willingness to travel/drive up to 50% of the time is essential, including overnight and in-market travel.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple tasks and handling unexpected daily demands.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Sales Reporting Systems is required.
• Mobility is highly preferred.
• Successful completion of a post-offer criminal background check is mandatory.
