This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Drive revenue across the entire portfolio of CFO Leadership, which includes conferences, FATE, webinars, digital media, research, thought leadership, and customized partnership opportunities.
• Sell sponsorships, media, events, research, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Oversee both new business development and the growth of existing accounts.
• Create and maintain a high-activity sales pipeline through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking.
• Identify and target organizations that cater to CFOs and finance leaders.
• Execute the complete sales cycle, from outreach and discovery to pricing, contracting, and closing deals.
• Manage and enhance existing accounts through renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and broader partnership opportunities.
• Achieve weekly activity and pipeline targets, while meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
• Communicate value and ROI utilizing audience insights, demographics, engagement metrics, and historical partner outcomes.
• Keep accurate CRM records, manage pipeline stages, and forecast performance effectively.
• Attend CFO Leadership and selected industry events to generate leads, schedule meetings, strengthen relationships, and close business deals.
• Identify opportunities for upselling into larger sponsorships, branded activations, research, digital initiatives, thought leadership, or custom programs.
• Report directly to the VP of Sales/Publisher.
• A minimum of 7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in event, sponsorship, media, conference, research, membership, or integrated marketing sales.
• Proven ability to proactively prospect, open doors, cultivate relationships, and close deals in a quota-driven environment.
• Experience in selling sponsorships, media, event packages, or similar B2B products is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in managing both new business opportunities and the growth of existing accounts.
• Comfortable with high-volume outbound sales; possesses a strong phone presence, is confident in cold calling, and demonstrates persistent follow-up.
• Strong skills in objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
• Highly organized and process-oriented; capable of managing a sales pipeline and executing daily activities with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting platforms.
• Willingness to travel to CFO Leadership events and selected industry events approximately 5–8 times a year.
