Account Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• The Account Engineer is responsible for managing a vital portfolio of new and emerging customers, ensuring a quick time-to-value and fostering ongoing platform growth.

• Lead Your Account Micro-Business: Take charge of the technical success and consumption trajectory within your designated portfolio, driving adoption metrics in your assigned accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries.

• Driving Outcome-Based Utilization: Employ an outcome-focused selling approach during customer interactions, emphasizing how the Snowflake AI Data Cloud addresses complex data challenges and maximizes business value—beyond merely discussing product features.

• Strategic Advisory and Guidance: Act as a trusted strategic advisor immediately after the initial contract closure, offering insights on data strategy, technology stack integration, and ensuring a quick and effective activation of Use Cases.

• Deliver Technical Value with AI: Provide technical value efficiently by utilizing advanced AI-driven development tools and automation to expedite solutions and implementation guidance, enabling customers to advance to production more rapidly.

• Architectural Leadership: Offer customers essential Snowflake-specific foundational advice, including Architectural Best Practices, Workload Isolation & Warehouse Utilization, Resource Monitoring & Alerts, Budgeting, and RBAC/Security Setup.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Account Team to identify risks and develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal Snowflake teams (e.g., Professional Services, Support) and external partners for effective resource orchestration.

• Develop Scalable Programs: Design and implement reusable, high-impact programs, such as Hands-on Labs (HoLs) and webinars, to inform a broad customer base about specific platform features and industry best practices.

• Technical Feedback Loop & Innovation: Serve as a crucial feedback loop from the field to guide future product development, collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Expert Support and Triage: Efficiently manage a wide range of incoming customer inquiries, supporting the field team with demonstrations, troubleshooting, and identifying opportunities to demonstrate potential business value for the Expansion team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be fluent in English.

• Must be willing and able to travel to the US as necessary for onboarding and training.

• Technical Aptitude: Hands-on experience with SQL is essential.

• Data & Cloud Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding and experience in data architecture, data analytics, and the core concepts of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn, enhance your technical skills, and become proficient in the Snowflake platform.

• Professional Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and possess Project Management skills to track, manage, and guide customers to meet agreed-upon timelines.

• Education: A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience in a technical role.
