This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Oversee the overall relationship with a key utility account and act as the main point of contact for the customer.
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders, including senior executives.
• Create and implement strategic account plans that align with customer priorities and the solutions and services available.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer initiatives and explore business growth opportunities.
• Identify, prioritize, and advance opportunities that enhance customer value and drive account growth.
• Lead complex commercial discussions and negotiations with customer organizations.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, address significant issues, and ensure timely resolution of concerns.
• Stay informed about customer strategies, industry trends, market developments, and emerging business needs.
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Coordinate resources across various business units to provide value throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Support the implementation of solutions that enhance grid reliability, operational performance, and long-term infrastructure planning.
• Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical (engineering) or business discipline is required.
• An MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is necessary.
• Experience in customer-facing sales, ideally within the energy sector.
• Familiarity with a broad range of products, customers, market segments, or geographic areas.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization.
• Experience in customer relationship management, sales, and problem resolution is essential.
• Capability to motivate, influence, and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with a clear understanding of customer and market dynamics.
