This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Expand a portfolio of established State DOT accounts while serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Foster and enhance relationships at all agency levels, ranging from data, GIS, and asset management teams to executive leadership.
• Clearly articulate and showcase the strengths and value proposition of Cyclomedia’s LiDAR, imagery, software, and solutions.
• Identify potential applications for existing captured data in areas such as safety, asset inventory, pavement, maintenance, and planning, while building the business case with agencies.
• Formulate account strategies that transition individual projects into comprehensive, long-term statewide programs.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of industry trends, funding sources, budget management, and acquisition cycles and processes.
• Collaborate with Solution Engineering and technical teams to develop solutions tailored to agency workflows.
• Utilize the CRM system and additional resources to manage opportunities and enhance revenue generation.
• Engage in professional development, maintain market knowledge, connect with organizations like AASHTO and TRB, and cultivate professional skills.
• Plan, prepare, and engage in industry events, including exhibits, sponsorships, speaking engagements, webinars, and targeted customer meetings.
• Create avenues for revenue opportunities through innovation and initiative.
• A minimum of ten years of experience working in or with State Departments of Transportation; around fifteen years is ideal.
• Direct experience with DOTs, possessing established relationships that can be leveraged immediately.
• Proven track record of growing existing accounts, broadening scope, adding programs, and securing long-term engagements.
• A consultative, advisory approach, capable of engaging in strategic discussions with senior agency leadership.
• Comfort with lengthy acquisition cycles, typically spanning eighteen months to two years, and sometimes longer.
• Willingness and eagerness to travel frequently.
• Preferred background in engineering, planning, or data and asset management leadership within a DOT.
• Familiarity with geospatial data, imagery, LiDAR, GIS, and asset extraction, along with knowledge of their application by agencies is preferred.
• Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, including research capabilities, effective listening, and qualification skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to manage and prioritize tasks effectively while operating independently within a small, senior team.
