This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily management of an assigned book of business.
• Build and nurture robust relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous written and verbal communication with clients and account team members.
• Address problems and challenges to meet or surpass client expectations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client organizations, products, disease states, and marketing objectives.
• Supervise budgeting, financial oversight, and reconciliation for individual projects.
• Seek and secure new business opportunities within existing accounts.
• Draft proposals and create new business presentations.
• Engage in regular onsite meetings with clients.
• Recruit and train account management personnel.
• Develop personalized career development plans.
• Provide continuous feedback and conduct performance assessments for direct reports.
• Update senior management on account activities, new business prospects, financial analyses, and forecasts.
• Delegate and manage workload among account team members.
• Identify and coordinate internal and external resources with department managers.
• Mediate conflict resolution within and across departments or account team members.
• Participate in and/or lead team meetings.
• Oversee both internal and external components of the account management team.
• Innovate and initiate new programs.
• Enhance interdepartmental communication.
• Provide staffing and resource allocation reports.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and key faculty members.
• Serve as a liaison with pertinent medical associations and institutions.
• Present creative ideas and investigate new business opportunities with current clients.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over seven years of relevant experience, including management duties, interdisciplinary team collaboration, and marketing and/or communications within a scientific context.
• Preferred management experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturer, biotech firm, managed care hospital, medical communications agency, or healthcare advertising agency.
• Capability to swiftly understand and retain scientific and technical concepts.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
• Strong skills in presentation.
• Expertise in business development.
• Ability to manage and mentor account team personnel.
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with budgeting, financial oversight, and project reconciliation.
• Experience in writing proposals and creating new business presentations.
